INTRODUCTION. Wayland is a partnership area within the Breckland district of Norfolk
 consisting of the market town of Watton, population about 6,500,
surrounded by numerous villages and hamlets with a total population of over 18,000.

Watton Market Day: Wednesday;  Farmers' Market: 1st Saturday monthly;  Early Closing Day: Thursday (local villages vary).

The Wayland Partnership Parishes are Watton,  Ashill,  Carbrooke,  Caston,  Great Cressingham,  Great Hockham,
  Griston,  Little Cressingham with Threxton (including The Arms),  Merton,  Ovington,  Saham Toney (incl Saham Hills and Waite),
